Looking for some fun and a way to connect to the black community in Minneapolis? Join a bowling league, but not just any league. On Friday and Saturday nights at SouthTown Bowl in Bloomington, two of the longest running black bowling leagues in Minnesota, the Ebony Strikers and New Breed, are rolling hard.
The Ebony Strikers league is an all male league that has been together for over 50 years in Minneapolis and meets at 8pm on Friday nights. This league is more fun than competitive where you’ll find a good mixture of novice to expert bowlers, so don’t be discouraged to come out and give it a try. The league is in full effect and runs from early Sept to mid April.
The New Breed league is a coed league that meets on Saturday night at 6pm. Another great league that invites all to come in and have a good time no matter what your skill level is.
